My stomach will always growl in class.

It must be some sort of cosmic rule. It doesn’t matter how much I’ve eaten or when. And it never happens at home or work.

But when I was born mother nature must have passed some unwritten yet binding law that states that my stomach will growl if and only if I am in a classroom.

I’m standing in line at school to deal with student loan issues, which I hope get resolved considering classes start Monday and I’d really like to attend as usual this semester.

Anyway, I knew the line would be long. Like, 3 hours long. So I came prepared. I have with me:

-a water bottle (these halls can make you thirsty)
-snacks
-Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
-a flashlight. (just in case.)

I’m camping out y’all

Cut Copy- Need You Now

I know that this is an oxymoron, but this really is a modern 80’s song. No, a modern 80’s movie theme song. Listen to the whole thing and try to tell me you don’t have Ferris Bueller Breakfast Club 16 Candles going through your head.

It’s the end of the movie. The couple/group of teenagers finally realize they need each other in some cosmic way. Your screen flashes close-ups of each of them, happy, sly smiles on their faces and wind blowing in their hair. Now they are walking off into the distance, laughing. Perhaps holding hands. The screen freezes while they are in mid stride (or maybe jumping), but the song that has been playing continues as the credits roll. And you decide you really like this song. It’s a feel good song.

I love my roommate.

GUESS WHO JUST READ THIS BOOK FOR THE FIRST TIME.

That’s right. My mom was the kind of mom who thought Harry Potter was evil when I was 12, and I still obeyed rules when I was 12, so I didn’t read them when literally all of my friends did. And then 6 years later when she bought all the books for my younger sisters, I was reading other things.
I’ve always wanted to catch up and read them all before seeing all of the movies. I mean, I know that means I’ll only really be surprised for half of the 7th book. But oh well. It was surprisingly enjoyable for something I should have read when I was 12.
Read the other 6 before I see the last movie? Don’t mind if I do.

Spent all day walking/hiking/climbing giant rocks all over this place. Took tons of pictures too, this one is of the tunnel view right when you drive into the park. It was gorgeous! Next goal: hiking to upper yosemite falls.

(PS, going to be so, so sore tomorrow. May not be able to use legs at all)

Interviewer: And who would you cite as your biggest influences?

Donald: I don’t wanna say…. like, I guess like… the Cranberries

You Know What I Mean by Cults.

Stole a roll of toilet paper from the neighbors last night

because we were drunk and out of it at our place.

So far my roommate and I have also:

  • taken up yoga
  • taken up yoga-mat-picnics where we stuff our faces after ~working out~
  • gone to the zoo because we could
  • ALMOST sang No Scrubs at a karaoke night. (Some other girls asked for it first, it was so sad)
  • Woke up from said karaoke night with, not a phone number, but a words-with-friends game with someone named Rigatoni (or something like that)
  • planned trips to Yosemite and Santa Cruz

I love summer so hard
